About Radical for Jesus

Training a generation that radically follows Jesus

Mission & Vision

Mission & vision

Making God's love visible and discipling believers.

Radical for Jesus strives to make God's love visible to people and to disciple believers, so that men and women arise with a powerful and solid foundation, based on the promises of the Word of God. From that foundation they can fulfil the commission Jesus has given us.

To fulfil that commission requires you to be willing to take up your cross every day and die to yourself. So that it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you, and you learn to live from your born-again spirit. (Galatians 2:20)

As Radical for Jesus we believe that God's Word is the truth, and that it should be the highest authority in our lives. By teaching people from the Word, we believe they build a strong foundation, dare to trust God's promises and so grow into powerful Christians.

Opposition is normal, but being defeated is unbiblical. Many people do not know God's principles and promises, and do not know how to apply them in their daily lives.

Jesus said in Mark 9:23: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

So all things are possible. Nothing is impossible for God. But we must learn to live and pray according to the will of God.

The great commission

Jesus gave us a clear commission.

In Matthew 28, Jesus gave us a clear commission: to proclaim the Gospel among all nations, to make people His disciples by baptising them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and to teach them to do everything Jesus taught His disciples.

01

Baptism in water

Water baptism is a command of Jesus in which believers are fully immersed in water. The word 'baptism' comes from the Greek baptizo, which literally means to immerse. By being baptised, we leave our old life behind and rise into a new life with a born-again spirit. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we read that everything has become new and the old has completely passed away.

02

Baptism with the Holy Spirit

The Bible also speaks of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. This is an empowering of the Holy Spirit upon our lives, through which we receive power and anointing to fulfil the commission Jesus has given us.

03

Heal the sick

It is God's will that everyone be healthy, so that we can fully walk in the calling He has for us. As disciples of Jesus we have received authority to lay hands on the sick, with the promise that they will recover.

04

Cast out demons

Casting out demons should be a normal part of a believer's life. In Mark 16:17 Jesus says that believers are to be recognised by these signs. Just as we have received the authority to heal the sick, we have also been given authority to cast out demons.

05

Make disciples

Discipleship is an important subject that never stops. By teaching people how they can grow in faith, you activate them to keep learning and to pass this on to others so that more and more disciples arise.
